Justification:
This species has a restricted distribution, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 8,360.439 km2 and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 80 km2.  Most of its range is subject to ongoing overgrazing by livestock and uncontrolled burning and smallholder agriculture, but at the time of assessment there is no evidence of a decline in the population of this species due to habitat loss.  Fieldwork is required to determine whether there are any changes in the population status for this species.  Since it is known from at least 17 locations and more as yet unrecorded subpopulations are likely to exist this species is assessed as Least Concern.
