Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Denekia capensis - Aromatic annual herb, slender, erect, up to 80 cm high. Leaves alternate, clasping at base, with or without few teeth, slightly woolly above and densely white-woolly beneath, up to 9 cm long x 5 mm wide. Flower-heads small, few in compact clusters, shortly stalked. Involucral bracts c 4 mm long, hairy. Florets c 6 mm long, corolla white; ray-florets female, disc-florets bisexual or sterile. Ray-florets with cylindrical two-toothed corolla, ovary hairy, pappus absent. Disc-florets with five-toothed funnel-shaped glandular corolla; anthers tailed and appendaged; ovary hairless, style-branches oval, glandular; pappus of single feathery bristle.
