International Red Data Status: Least Concern (2016) IUCN Red List
Comments: Occurs throughout the country but, with a single highveld record, apparently more common in the middleveld, lowveld and Lubombo regions. Previously unrecorded except for photograph in Passmore and Carruthers (1979). Currently seven localities recorded. (R.C. Boycott, 1992)
