Medicinal

Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Aloe bainesii - Tall tree, occasionally reaching 20 m in height, trunk sometimes 3 m diam at base, repeatedly forking to produce rounded crown of leafy branches. Leaves in dense rosette at tip of each branch, sometimes reaching I m long in young plants, diminishing with age, up to 8 cm wide, deeply channelled. Inflorescence slightly and shortly branched; flower-stalks short and thick; flower relatively broad, up to c 4 cm long x over 1 cm diam, rose-pink, standing out horizontally.
