Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Chortolirion stenophyllum - Leaf-blades c 15 cm long x 2 mm wide, narrow, grass-like, but broader and thicker below ground forming small bulb. Inflorescence 40—60 cm high; bracts few, minute, widely spaced; raceme sparse; flowers few, slender, short-stalked, slightly two-lipped and widened at mouth, segments united at base, pink, up to 1,5 cm long.

Notes:
Global distribution information: southern Africa includes southern Mozambique and southern Zimbabwe.
