Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Eucomis humilis - Leaves lance- or strap-shaped, up to c 40 cm long )< 7 cm wide, widest about middle, blunt, margin uneven or crisped, midrib well-defined especially lower half, lower surface spotted. Inflorescence much shorter than leaves. Base very slender, widening rapidly to 1 cm or more diam below raceme, spotted. Raceme very dense, up to 7 cm long, up to 4 cm diani, flower-stalks c 5 mm long; perianth c 1 cm long; segments blunt, green, filaments slightly shorter, red-brown, ovary red-brown.
