Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Sansevieria desertii - Leaves 7—8 in two ranks, erect, rigid, up to c 80 cm long, compressed, cylindrical, c 3 cm diam near base, tapering to hard spine-like tip, with several shallow grooves on sides and back. Inflorescence c 60 cm high, with a long spike-like raceme of flower-clusters c five in each cluster; perianth tube c 8 mm long, lobes c 12 mm long, recurved.
