Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Asparagus setaceus - Stem twining, greenish to reddish-brown. Branches similar to stem, solitary. Cladodes fine, curved, up to ten in cluster, up to 1 cm long. Spines reflexed, but not usually present. Inflorescences few-flowered, hanging. Perianth segments creamy-white, c 3 mm long. Fruit up to 6 mm diamn, three-seeded.
