Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Asparagus asparagoides - Roots with tubers. Stems annual, climbing to c 3 m, spineless. Cladodes lance-shaped to broadly oval, stalkless, broad-based, up to 7 cm long. Perianth segments white, up to 6 mm long, spreading, upper half reflexed. Fruit up to 1 cm diam, red, one-seeded, perianth persisting.
