Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Crinum macowanii - Leaves strap-shaped, rising from base, arching over to touch ground at tip, edges wavy, turned upwards forming trough, greyish green, c 80 cm long x 7 cm wide; narrow central leaves few. Inflorescence axis stout, often curved, flowers erect-spreading, stalks short; perianth tube up to c 19 cm long, widening rapidly to bowl shape, segments white with pink or mauve stripe outside, c 8 cm long x 3 cm wide, spreading, recurved. Anthers horseshoe-shaped, attached at middle, dark-coloured, conspicuous. Flowers sweet scented.
