Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Hypoxis galpinii - Leaves rather rigid, erect, up to 50 cm long X 1 cm wide, prominently ribbed, closely hairy on midrib and edges, sparsely hairy elsewhere. Inflorescence axis about as long as leaves, often arching outwards and then turning upwards; flowers several, erect, closely clustered. Bracts membranous, long-pointed. Ovary and outside of perianth densely hairy; segments elliptical, inner c 15 mm long x 9 mm wide, outer rather narrower.
