Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Dioscorea quartiniana - Strong slender twiner. Stems wiry, closely downy. Leaves with five leaflets, slightly hairy or almost hairless, leaflets often arched backwards with distinct midrib from which lateral veins spring, tapering to base and with thread-like tip, up to c 5 cm long x 2 cm wide, often partly folded upwards. Female flowers stalkless, greyish, in single slender axillary spikes.
