Cultural uses

Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Habenaria epipactidea - Erect, robust, up to 40 cm high. No basal leafrosette; leaves clasping stem, overlapping, largest about halfway up, c 10 cm long x 2 cm wide. Raceme dense up to 12 cm long. Bracts erect, 4 cm long x 1 cm wide. Stalks c 1 cm long; ovary c 2 mm long, curved outwards. Perianth green and cream, all segments about 1,2 cm long; lateral petals c 1,3 cm wide; middle lobe of lip c 1,5 cm long, its margins turned back, lateral lobes very short, spur c 3 cm long, slender, enlarged at tip.
