Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Satyrium atherstonii - Erect, sometimes almost up to 75 cm high, usually much shorter. Basal and stem leaves few, up to 1,5 cm wide. Raceme relatively short, compact, up to e 9 cm long. Bracts spreading, prominent, up to 2,5 cm long, 8 mm wide, tapering to narrow point, green at base, white on upper surface towards end. Flower relatively small, white. Perianth segments c 5 mm long, spurs about half as long as ovary.
