Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Monadenia brevicornis - Erect, up to c 45 cm high, hairless. Leaves half-erect, clasping at base, lowest c 8 cm long, successive leaves gradually smaller, passing into floral bracts about same length as flowers. Odd sepal arching, hooded, with short somewhat enlarged spur. Lateral sepals c 5 mm long, petals rather shorter; lip narrow, turned downwards. Perianth brownish. Both pollen-masses attached to a single disc.
