Global Distribution: Restricted distribution
Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Thesium costatum - Erect with numerous slender branches, often tufted and less than 15 cm high, seldom reaching 30 cm, drying pale, lower leaves spreading, c I cm long, rather blunt, upper much smaller, closely pressed to stem, flowers mostly singly on very short stalks or occasionally on short branches in upper leaf-axils (var. paniculaturn N.E.Br.). Flowers c 2 mm long, segments blunt and incurved.
