Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Oxygonum canescens - Branching from near base. Lowest leaves entire or slightly toothed, upper divided into narrow spreading lobes, themselves shortly lobed, up to c 4 cm long X 2 cm wide. Whole plant very finely downy with greyish white hairs. Inflorescence slender, elongated, terminal, spike-like with widely spaced white flowers c 7 mm long, partly enclosed in a lobed rnembranous bract.

Notes:
Global distribution information: southern Africa includes southern Mozambique and southern Zimbabwe.
