Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Cocculus hirsutus - Vigorous twiner or scrambler with softly hairy stems. Leaves numerous, stalks few mm long, blades oval, sometimes widest near base, blunt, hairless or nearly so, up to 5 cm long x 3 cm wide, usually much less. lnflorescences slender, terminal and axillary, slightly or not branched with numerous small leaf-like bracts. Flowers small, greenish; sepals, petals and stamens six, carpels three or more. Fruits fleshy, round or compressed, c 5 mm diam.
