Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Choristylis rhamnoides - (Indlenyatsi) Irregular or scrambling shrub or small tree. Leaves alternate, stalked blades rather leathery, oval, tapering to point, base rounded, edges glandular-toothed, c 7 cm long X 4 cm wide. Flowers scented, in axillary inflorescences. Calyx lobes five; petals five; stamens five alternating with petals; filaments short, hairy at base. Ovary of two carpels fused at base, styles erect, later spreading; fruit dry, half enclosed in calyx tube.
