Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Geranium ornithopodum - Slender straggling herbaceous perennial, slightly hairy throughout, hairs on stems often turned backwards. Leaf-stalk up to 4 cm long, blade deeply three- or five-lobed, main lobes with few lateral lobes or notches, as wide as or wider than long, up to 2,5 cm long X 3,5 cm wide, paler beneath. Flowers usually two on slender stalks springing from common stalk c 3 cm long; sepals green, hairy, clearly veined, c 7 mm long with slender tips; petals five, white, c 1 cm long, tip broad, notched; five glands inside petals, alternating with them; stamens ten, usually of two lengths, filaments broader at base; ovary five-lobed, styles united into stiff beak, stigmas five, spreading. One-seeded portions of fruit separate, each with its own tail, splitting away from beak.
