Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Acalypha schinzii - Herbaceous perennial, stem rather slender, erect, up to 50 cm high, little or not branched, with numerous long hairs, all young parts shaggy, glands unusual. Leaves narrow, more than three times as long as broad, borne erect, c 3 cm long x 5 mm wide, margins not toothed. Sexes on different plants (occasionally on same). Male inflorescences with stalk c 5 cm long and spike c 5 cm long when mature. Female inflorescence terminal, rather slender, fewflowered, stigmas very long and slender, scarcely feathery.
