Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Chironia palustris - Erect, branching above, up to 70 cm high. Leaves both near base and on stem, rather broad-based, tapering to long tip. Inflorescence open, flowers well. separated; calyx about as long as corolla tube, lobes narrow-triangular; corolla rose-pink, up to 3 cm long; anthers more or less twisted; stigma definitely two-lobed. Fruit splitting in two lengthwise.
