Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Ipomoea obscura - (Ijalambu) Slender twiner or trailer, very variable. Thinly or closely hairy. Leaf-stalk c 1,5 cm long; blade varying from as broad as long to narrow triangular, tapering to tip, broadly heart-shaped at base, up to 4 cm long. Flowers solitary or few together in leaf axil, or few at end of common stalk up to 4 cm long. Calyx lobes c 1 cm long, pointed; corolla funnel-shaped, up to 4 cm long, pale yellow, cream-coloured or white.
