Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Crabbea velutina - Erect, stems seldom more than 20 cm high with one inflorescence. Leaves stalkless, lance-shaped or strap-shaped, blunt, tapering to both ends, surfaces densely shaggy-haired, almost velvety, up to 8 cm long x 2,5 cm wide. Inflorescence up to 6 cm diam, bracts shaggy-haired, narrow, tapering to long straight point. Corolla white, thinly hairy, tube c 1,5 cm long, lobes c 8 mm across.
