Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Aster muricatus - Much-branched, somewhat shrubby, stems slender up to 20 cm high; shortly rough-hairy throughout. Leaves numerous, blunt, up to 1 cm long x 1 mm wide. Flower-heads solitary, terminal, mostly reaching about same level on stalks of varying length, c 1,5 cm diam; involucral bracts narrow, shortly-hairy, up to 6 mm long; ray-florets mauve or white, c 7 mm long; disc-florets numerous, yellow.
