Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Helichrysum nudifolium - Erect, robust, unbranched, up to 2 m high; stems thinly woolly; leaves hairless except for few hairs on veins, oval, narrowing to base and usually to an elongated point, longitudinal nerves prominent beneath, finely gland-dotted, up to 15 cm long x 7 cm wide. Inflorescence broadly flator convex-topped, up to 20 cm across; flower-heads numerous in somewhat compact clusters, c 5 mm long; involucral bracts about equalling florets, dull yellow, broadly oval, wrinkled, blunt.
Helichrysum davyi - Herbaceous. Stem unbranched, erect or wavy, up to 40 cm high. White-woolly throughout, but sometimes more thinly on upper leaf surface. Leaves few, scattered along stem, tapering to both ends, pointed, up to 10 cm long x 1 cm wide. Inflorescence compact, about spherical, c 2 cm diam; flower-heads numerous, c 4 mm long; involucral bracts about equalling florets, dull yellow.
