Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Helichrysum miconiifolium - Herbaceous, stems usually unbranched, erect, up to 50 cm high, thinly woolly. Lowest leaves oval or lance-shaped, tapering downwards to narrow-winged stalk, strongly veined below, up to 6 cm long x 2,5 cm wide, gradually diminishing in size and width up stem; all leaves almost hairless. Inflorescence terminal, with several branches all springing from about same point, up to c 8 cm across, with separate compact clusters of few flower-heads. Involucral bracts yellow, rather blunt, c 3 mm long, slightly shorter than florets.
