Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Athanasia punctata - Erect, robust, unbranched, up to 2 m high, glanddotted throughout, thinly downy. Stem-leaves strap-shaped with few small marginal teeth, up to 3 cm long x 6 mm wide; short leafy axillary shoots present. Inflorescence more or less flat-topped, up to 15 cm across; flower-heads stalked, c 5 mm long, florets about equalling involucral bracts.
