Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Senecio rhyncholaenus - Herbaceous, up to c 30 cm high, hairless, thinly glandular and aromatic. Lower leaves with stalk up to 3 cm long; blade up to c 8 cm long, deeply divided into pairs of opposite lobes which themselves have few blunt or pointed teeth. Inflorescence somewhat flat-topped; flower-heads about 5 mm diam; involucral bracts narrow, pointed, c 7 mm long. Ray-florets absent. Corollas dull mauve, sometimes white.
