Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Eragrostis rigidior - Tufted hairless perennial. erect or often knee-bent at nodes and sprawling, up to c 1,2 m high. Leaf-blades flat, curling when dry. Inflorescence c 18 cm long, lax, lower branches usually whorled. Spikelets greyish to dark green, slender, c 6 mm long x 1,5 mm wide, many-flowered. (Related to E. barbinodis, q.v.).
