Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Cyperus leptocladus - Slender, 30 cm—1 m high, many-stemmed, spreading by rhizomes. Leaves soft, flat, long-tapering about 3 mm wide. Inflorescence up to e 10 cm long, with few narrow leaf-like bracts, loosely branched with many very slender axes terminating in clusters of few medium-brown spikelets, pointed, c 1 cm long x 2 mm wide.
