      Medicinal: Leaves, roots & seeds for bleeding, diarrhea, dysentary, & cancer.
      Food: Nutritious leaves rich in vitamin A & C. Added to soups & salads.
   crispus *    (Yellow Dock)  lidvololenkhonyane,
      Medicinal: Rhizome is an stimulant & laxative. Also for worms & ulcers. Leaves relieves pain of insect stings and bites.
      Food: Leaves rich in vitamins & minerals. Also contains toxic oxalates
   dregeanus subsp. montanus   
      Food: Leaves rich in vitamins & minerals. Also contains toxic oxalates
   nervosus var. usamarensis *   
      Food: Leaves rich in vitamins & minerals. Also contains toxic oxalates
   sagittatus    (Climbing Dock)  simunyane,
      Cultural: Planted as protective charm.
      Medicinal: Pain, constipation & tuberculosis.
      Food: Leaves rich in vitamins & minerals. Also contains toxic oxalates

      Food: Edible fruit when mature. Good for jelly and wine.
   tomentosa    (Common Forest Grape)  isinwati,  lisinwati,  umbovu,
      Household: Split branches used as rope and for baskets.
      Food: Edible fruit. Excellent jams & jellies
   tridentata    (Bushman's Grape)  imbozisa,  ligolo-lenkhonyane,  mboziso,  mnamaftsela,  mnamatsela,  umguci,  umguco,
      Cultural: Plant used as charm when moving.
      Household: Pumpkin spray
      Food: Edible fruit but sour.
      Medicinal: Roots for menstrual pains, childbirth, impotence, barrenness, syphilis, bladder & kidney complaints. Whole plant for chest complaints. Leaves or roots for otitis.
