      Firewood: Fuelwood. Poisonous berries.
      Household: Seeds for necklaces. Wood for bowls & spoons. Poisonous berries.
      Medicinal: Roots for anal prolapse. Berries poisonous, more so when ripe.

      Timber: Dense, red timber.
      Medicinal: Bark relieves pain after childbirth. Burnt externally as stimulant.

      Medicinal: Bark used for stomach complaints.

      Cultural: Sticks are wielded by dancers at Incwala ceremonies
      Household: Wood used for fighting sticks & knobkerries & household utensils.

      Cultural: Branches used in traditional ceremonies.
      Firewood: Fuel wood
      Household: Wood used for spoons, tools & carving.

   lanceolata    (False Assegaai)  indende,  ligucu,  magucu,  maygugu,  mbhongozi,  phophopho,  umbhongozi,  umbhungubhungu,  umbohlobohlo,  umbongambonga,
      Cultural: Used in cleansing process after a death in the family. Bark or roots used as good luck charm.
      Medicinal: Multiple medicinal uses from leaves,roots, fruit. Toxic properties. Leaves for wounds & strains.Roots for jaundice and an emetic. Fruits & seeds for intestinal worms, stomach pains & sore throats.
      Food: Bark an ingredient of stimulating beverage.

      Medicinal: Medicinal.

      Timber: General purpose timber
      Food: Edible fruit with high vitamin C content.
