Our logo is adapted from a painting by Phillip Dlamini, 1998, of a purple crested turaco. In traditional Swazi dress, the red feathers feature in the royal headdress, so this bird illustration is not only a symbol for wildlife conservation, but also of cultural heritage.

Occasionally found at various altitudes, in sourveld grassland, common on rocky areas, particularly along margins of exposed rock, at various altitudes.

Natal redtop
Abundant on disturbed ground, especially alongside roads and on old fields.

Kikuyu grass
Used as lawn grass. Naturalised from east African highlands.

Occasionally found along valley bottoms of higher areas and in vieis, e.g. Mhlangamphepha valley, Malolotja viei.

Possibly found in Malolotja, collected by R. Compton in the Forbes Reef area.

Occasionally found in vieis of high altitude areas.
