Our logo is adapted from a painting by Phillip Dlamini, 1998, of a purple crested turaco. In traditional Swazi dress, the red feathers feature in the royal headdress, so this bird illustration is not only a symbol for wildlife conservation, but also of cultural heritage.
Mantenga Nature Reserve and Cultural Village is located in central western Eswatini, off the Ezulwini-Matsapha road. The closest borders are Ngwenya/Oshoek Border (open from 07h00 to 22h00) and Sicunusa/Houdkop Border (open from 08h00 to 18h00). The reserve is 5 km from Ezulwini, 22 km from Mbabane and 55 km from Manzini.
Take the highway (MR3) from the border, bypassing Mbabane. After 29 km, take the exit and turn right onto MR103. Stay on MR103 for 7 km. After the roundabout by The Gables shopping centre, take the first right. Continue straight across the crossroads, then follow the road to the Mantenga Entrance Gate.
Take the road (MR8) north from the border for 130 km. At the T-junction, turn left (MR3). Continue for 27 km, straight through Manzini, to the Lobamba exit. Take the exit and turn left towards MR103. At the roundabout take the second exit, and continue to the T-junction, turning right onto MR103. Take the first left after the speed bumps. Continue straight across the crossroads, then follow the road to the Mantenga Entrance Gate.
