Information from "An Annotated Checklist of the Freshwater Fishes of Swaziland", E.J. Hyslop, 1994, updated with information from Richard Boycott, 2006, incorporating information from the 2002-2003 fishes survey.

Swaziland's Fishes Checklist


Anguilla marmorata  Quoy & Gaimard, 1842

   Anguillidae (Freshwater eels)
   (Giant mottled eel)
Status: Indeterminate
Found in the Komati system; and also recorded from the rivers of the Mlawula Nature Reserve. May be more widespread. Insufficient information. May be confused with next species. Not previously recorded from Swaziland.
