Swaziland's Centipedes and Millipedes
Myriapods, which include centipeds and millipedes, have only been poorly investigated in Swaziland.
Centipedes: Chilopoda
The presence of four orders of centipedes has been confirmed.
Geophilomorpha (Soil Centipedes)
Family: Geophilidae
- Geoperingueyia minor
- Polygonarea clavigera
These two species are possibly endemic, they are currently only known from Swaziland.
Lithobiomorpha (Stone Centipedes)
Family: Henicopidae
- Paralamyctes spenceri
Scolopendromorpha (Tropical Centipedes)
Family: Scolopendridae
- Alipes crotalus
- Cormocephalus sp.
- Scolopendra sp.

Millipedes currently known from Swaziland fall under Subclass Chilognatha, Infraclass Helminthomorpha, Supterclass Eugnatha, and Infraclass Pentazonia.
Order Sphaerotheriida (pill millipedes)
There is currently one photo record, identified as Sphaerotherium sp. (Family Sphaerotheriidae).

Superorder Juliformia, Order Spirostreptida (round-backed millipedes)
Records include photos which can only be identified to family level, from the Harpagophoridae and Spirostreptidae families. Spirostreptida are generally large, long and cylindrical, with 30 to 90 body rings.

Confirmed records of Spirostreptidae include:
- Doratogonus castaneus
- Doratogonus praealtus
Superorder Merocheta, Order Polydesmida (flat-backed millipedes)
Confirmed records include species from two families, Dalodesmidae and Gomphodesmidae, and based on currently available information, these two species have only been recorded from Swaziland.
