Mlawula Nature Reserve: Invertebrates
Investigations of invertebrates have included student projects through the University of Swaziland and Spider Club of South Africa visits. Collections of moths and butterflies have been carried out by researchers voluntarily assisting the SNTC, as part of preparation of preliminary checklists for Swaziland, with collections being done by Neville Duke and Chuck Saunders in the 1980's and 1990's. In addition, there are now photographic records acquired over the past few years. With the assistance of the UCT-ADU Virtual Museum, ISpot and various experts, identifications have been obtained, and progress has been made in the preparation of checklists for some groups of invertebrates.
