Dombeya rotundifolia    (Common Wild Pear)  nhliziyo,  nhliziyonkhulu,  umbikanyaka,  umuwane,  umwane,  umwuwane,
     Bark treats intestinal ulcers, vomiting and fainting. Leaves for headaches. Roots for a general purgative. Medicinal for heart problems.
Dovyalis lucida    (Glossy Sour Berry)  ingcengane,  sangongongo,  umnyazuma,
     Leaves used to treat high blood pressure and diabetes.
Drimia altissima    (Tall White Squill)  kutula,  lukhovu,  mahlanganisa,  silulwane,  ukutula,  umhlabelo,  unshlabelo,
     Bulbs for fractures & backaches. Leaves & roots for pregnancy oedema.
Drimia delagoensis    (Itch-egg)  mahlanganisa,
     Splints for bones. Bulbs are purgative.
Drimia elata    (Satin Squill)  gibizisila,  gibi'z'phoso,
     Medicinal for pain reliief & colds.. Emetic. Poisonous qualities.
Drimia sphaerocephala    (Round-head Drimia)
     Treat external tumours.

     Bulbs for expectorants, emetics & diuretics
Drimiopsis maculata    (Large-leaved Drimiopsis)  injobo,  ucibicibane,
     Stomach trouble in children
Dryopteris athamantica    (Woodferns)
     Rhizome used as a general anthelmintic.
Dryopteris inaequalis    (Woodferns)
     Rhizome used as a general anthelmintic.
Dryopteris lewalleana    (Woodferns)
     Rhizome used as a general anthelmintic.
Dryopteris pentheri    (Woodferns)
     Rhizome used as a general anthelmintic.
Duranta erecta *   (Forget-me-not Tree)
     Poisonous properties.
Duvalia polita    (Hottentot's Toes)  tililo lomncane,
     Medicinal
Eclipta prostrata *   (Eclipta)  ungcolosi,
     Medicinal for skin infections & hepatitis.
Ehretia amoena    (Sandpaper Bush)  bungela,  libhungela,  umklele,
     Roots used for vomiting.
Ehretia rigida subsp. nervifolia    (Puzzle Bush)  bhungela,  bhungele,  umcele,  umklele,  umxele,
     Powdered roots on skin cuts to relieve pain & also for toothache.
Ekebergia capensis    (Cape Ash)  inyamanti,  inyamati,  magwedla,  manyatsi,  matsatse,  sindziyandziya,  sndiya ndiya,  umnyamatsi,
     Bark is emetic & for dysentary. Roots for headaches. Leaves for intestinal worms.
Ekebergia pterophylla    (Rock Ash)  magwedla,  umnyamatsi,
     Bark emetic and for dysentary.
Elaeodendron croceum    (Forest Saffron)  ingultane,  ingulutane,
     Bark is used as emetic.
